To the Respected Venerable,

To all the Friends and Members of Phuoc Hau Buddhist Temple near and far,

Buddha once said “Buddhism exists because of the noble work of the monastic priests,  it flourishes due to the dedicated work of the followers,” with that belief, the nobleman Cap Co Doc and King Binh Sa Vuong built the Truc Lam monastery.

From that solemn, precious principle, we whole heartedly convey our wish and desire to build a new temple to meet the expanding needs of our members for larger prayer hall, adequate rooms for visiting monastic guests and a safe area, for our youths to conduct their outdoor activities.  We have struggled and wrestled to find a way to meet these need mostly out of our concerns for the safety of our youths, and today asking for the generous supports materially and in prayers from the friends and members of the Temple, to build a more spacious temple at a new location capable of accommodating these needs.

The roof of the temple protects our traditions.

In the traditions, the ways of lives of our ancestors.

We pray for the blessing of the Three Jewels upon our charitable supporters to enjoy the peace of mind, good health, and perfect wisdom.

Nam mo the Bodhisattva of Merit Forest Ma ha tat.

Abbess of Phuoc Hau Temple,

Venerable Thich Nu Gioi Huong
